What is the difference between Qi2 and Qi? 

In 2023, the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) introduced a new wireless charging standard—Qi2. Compared to Qi, Qi2 offers several upgrades, including faster charging speeds, more precise magnetic alignment, and improved cross-system compatibility. Previously, iPhones could only charge at 7.5W using Qi wireless chargers, while 15W charging was only possible with Apple-certified MagSafe chargers. How Wireless Charging Works 

Wireless charging fundamentally relies on electromagnetic induction to transfer energy. It requires a charger equipped with a transmission pad (TX) and a device with a built-in receiving pad (RX). When the two coils are close to each other, the receiving pad (RX) captures the magnetic energy and converts it into electrical energy through the principle of electromagnetic induction, ultimately charging your device.
